The future of space technology depends on more than innovative systems and advanced capabilities—it depends on the next generation of engineers and problem-solvers who will help bring those missions to life.
This summer, interns across Vantor's Space Systems Portfolio and Spacecraft Constellation organizations are gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects that support satellite programs, spacecraft operations, and mission success.

Supporting the Next Generation of Satellite Programs
Within the Space Systems Portfolio organization, Nick Anderson is supporting the Vantage and Pulse satellite programs under the guidance of Lorie Booth, Director of Space Systems Program Management.
Nick is helping the team stay aligned during the early stages of program execution by supporting key planning and coordination activities. Through this experience, he is gaining exposure to both program management and systems engineering, providing a unique perspective on how satellite programs move from concept to reality.
Nick has quickly become a valued member of the team, bringing a positive attitude, curiosity, and a willingness to take on new challenges. Booth noted that he has embraced the opportunity to work in an environment where new programs are taking shape and where bringing structure to ambiguity is an important part of success.
A student in Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, Nick was initially drawn to Vantor because of its leadership in geospatial intelligence and satellite imagery.
"I'm most excited to learn how Vantor tackles the challenge of launching a satellite," Nick said. "I get to experience a mix of program management and systems engineering, which gives me a unique view into both the business and technical aspects of these projects."
A fun fact about Nick: he once ziplined through the rainforest canopy in Costa Rica.
Advancing Spacecraft Operations
On the Spacecraft Constellation team, Brice Anderson and Isabelle Amodio are helping support the modernization of spacecraft command and control systems.
Working with Greg Sheppard, Senior Manager, SCORE Spacecraft Constellation Operations, Reliability & Engineering, the pair is developing Python-based spacecraft command procedures that will help transition legacy spacecraft operations into Vantor's modern command-and-control environment.
Their work contributes to improved operational efficiency and resiliency while helping support future mission needs. Sheppard said both interns have brought fresh perspectives to the team and have demonstrated a strong desire to learn. He also noted that their curiosity and willingness to support other engineers have helped them make meaningful contributions beyond their primary assignments.
Brice is pursuing dual degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder. He was attracted to Vantor because of the company's broad mission and exciting future, particularly the opportunities surrounding Vantage and Pulse.
This summer, Brice is eager to deepen his understanding of spacecraft operations and anomaly resolution—an area that is rarely explored in depth in undergraduate aerospace engineering programs. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding.
Isabelle, an Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Colorado Boulder, joined Vantor to gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects.
She is particularly excited to learn how spacecraft operations teams support real-time command and control activities while working alongside experienced engineers.
"I am excited to work alongside the SCORE team and see how spacecraft operations are used for real-time commanding of spacecraft," Isabelle said.
When she's not working, Isabelle enjoys hot pot and Korean BBQ.
Learning by Doing
Experiences like these provide students with the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges while learning alongside experienced professionals.
Whether supporting next-generation satellite programs or helping modernize spacecraft operations, Nick, Brice, and Isabelle are contributing to important work while building the skills and experience that will help shape the future of the aerospace industry.
Their experiences reflect Vantor's commitment to developing future talent by providing opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow alongside teams solving some of the industry's most complex challenges.
