WorldView 2D
The upgraded WorldView 2D tasking system eliminates uncertainty with automated validation, transparent pricing, and 70-80% fulfillment rates across two streamlined tasking options.
Tasking satellite imagery has historically meant navigating uncertainty. Whether monitoring critical infrastructure, tracking supply chains, or supporting defense and intelligence operations, collection planners have dealt with the same process: submit requests, wait for orbital geometries to align, and compete for narrow collection windows without knowing if collection was even feasible or where they stood in priority.
Meanwhile, enterprise software has spent the past decade catching up to modern consumer technology. Users now expect price transparency before commitment, automation that eliminates planning overhead, and systems that provide immediate confirmation rather than opaque queuing.
The geospatial intelligence tasking experience should deliver on those same requirements, which is why we’ve revamped our WorldView™ 2D tasking offering to capitalize on the capacity increase provided by our next-gen WorldView Legion satellites and to streamline the overall user experience.
This new WorldView 2D offering is built around a few core principles: price transparency before commitment, real-time feasibility validation, and immediate confirmation.
Automated tasking system + capacity increase = excellent reliability
WorldView Legion has fundamentally expanded the speed and reliability with which you can task and collect the most advanced commercial geospatial intelligence.
All six birds are now fully operational, and since the launch of our first WorldView Legion® satellite last year, they have collected over 311 million sq km of imagery which translates to 509,569 images. When combined with our other satellites, Vantor’s full constellation can collect nearly 7 million sq km of imagery daily, including over 3.5 million sq km at 30 cm-class resolution—the highest commercially available.
This capacity, combined with improvements we’ve made to automate our operational tasking processes, translates directly to fulfillment reliability: we're now achieving 70-80% success rates globally.
Our automated tasking system handles feasibility validation in real-time, eliminating wasted planning cycles. Our sensor-agnostic tasking system automatically selects the optimal satellite to maximize collection probability based on user-defined parameters. Collection planners get upfront capacity reservation and immediate confirmation, whether scheduling 8 hours or 365 days in advance. The system manages up to 15 revisits per day to the same location, with variable AOI sizes and customizable parameters that adapt to mission requirements.
This infrastructure lets imagery analysts and mission planners rethink their workflows. Intelligence teams can task with confidence that imagery will arrive when required. Port operators can shift from periodic snapshots to continuous monitoring. Infrastructure managers can schedule collections based on actual operational needs rather than satellite availability.
Streamlined ordering for time-critical and planned missions
We've consolidated our tasking into two clear options, each optimized for specific operational requirements:
FastView guarantees collection within 24 hours for time-critical missions. This option provides upfront capacity reservation, weather-independent operations, and premium priority on the tasking deck. Use FastView when collection timing matters more than weather conditions.
FlexView offers flexible scheduling up to 365 days in advance, optimized for weather conditions with guaranteed cloud cover below 15%. This option serves planned missions where optimal imagery quality is the priority.
Both options run through the same automated system with real-time feasibility validation and transparent pricing.
The modern experience spatial intelligence workflows deserve
Vantor's enhanced WorldView 2D tasking combines self-service ordering with automated validation and guaranteed capacity. Collection planners can submit requests, verify feasibility, and reserve capacity directly through our platform—no account manager required.
The system provides immediate pricing, confirms collection windows in real-time, and eliminates the turnaround-time anxiety and wasted planning cycles that have defined satellite imagery ordering for decades.
This is the intersection of sophisticated intelligence infrastructure and modern software expectations. We've built a system that recognizes both the technical demands of spatial intelligence and the operational standards shaped by contemporary enterprise technology.
Collection planners get immediate confirmation, guaranteed fulfillment rates, and the most advanced resolution available—without compromising on scheduling flexibility or user experience.
