These vector basemaps deliver interoperable features by fusing Vantor's imagery with our 3 m accurate spatial foundation. Ecopia's AI system transforms that foundation into precise vectors that stay locked to real-world locations.
Interoperable maps are built on vectors that reflect the reality on the ground. Vantor’s advanced imaging satellite constellation can collect more than 3.5 million sq km of the 30 cm resolution satellite imagery every day, making it possible to update maps at the speed of change.
As you can see in this imagery, building footprints and road centerlines that are visually aligned create maps that are more consistent with the reality on the ground. If these vectors were misaligned, your maps wouldn't reflect the real-world location of those features.
The building footprints in pink are produced with less accurate data, registering further away from the buildings' true location by a 4-meter drift. The accurate vectors in orange are accurate to within 0.4 meters of the buildings' true location. Maintaining accuracy even as the basemap imagery is updated is essential for modern mapmaking.
